Pannerselvam calls on Nirmala Sitharaman for release to funds
Deputy CM of the Tamil Nadu O. Pannerselvam and Senior State government officers called on Union Finance Minister at New Delhi. Meanwhile, before that meeting, Mr. Selvam has approached the Home Minister Amit Shah and also BJP Party working president J.P. Nadda at New Delhi.
During the meeting, Mr. Selvam gave the memorandum to the Tamil Nadu Finance Secretary S. Krishnan, seeking the early release of funds.
Mr. Selvam expressed that he was only discussing the funds of the various schemes during the meeting with Amit Shah, but he was not talking over the political issues in that meeting, he said. Although he said, his son P. Raveendranath Kumar’s inclusion chances in Union Cabinet, required talent and support of the public in politics.
Selvam stated that CM Palaniswami already said the government will not proceed with any project that was against the interests of the people. “Alternative arrangements would be made. We cannot force any scheme against the will the people. Like the way the Amma (former CM Jayalalithaa) government implemented only favourable schemes for the people, we will also implement schemes only after convincing them,” he said.
