Press meets and letters to EC: Chandrababu targets BJP
All through the election campaigning, TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu has never stepped back in targeting BJP and opposition YSRCP. This saga continued even after the elections which are receiving a lot of negative media propaganda. Some media channels have opined that the Chief Minister is deliberately doing this repeatedly out of his insecurity that he would lose. His series of press meets in Delhi are sending the message to political circles that fear of losing is haunting the TDP supremo.
Chandrababu Naidu even took to the notice of the Election Commission about the unfair election process in few of the polling booths through an open letter. He has taken the fight to Delhi directly over the Election Commission and demanded that the elections happen through ballot paper instead of EVMs, which can be manipulated. The EC has, however, responded to the letter stating that it cannot allow AP delegation's technical team for a discussion as it has a person who has been accused of stealing an EVM, referring to Hari Prasad.
Many of the political analysts felt that the EC did not address the glitches in the election process and is rather trying to avert the issue with the name of a trivial case filed. On the other hand, EC is also facing the allegations that it is acting at the behest of the BJP government at the Centre.
However, these strategies from TDPs end cannot be taken for granted. His continuous press meets in Delhi, TDP's review petition in the Supreme Court requesting for counting of at least 25% VVPAT slips and Chandrababu's battle to ban EVMs will obviously show influence.
