Priyanka on Rahul Gandhi's resignation as party president
Congress general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra on Thursday hailed her brother Rahul Gandhi’s decision to step down as party president.
'Few have the courage that you do, @rahulgandhi. Deepest respect for your decision' tweeted Ms. Vadra.
Rahul Gandhi had, on July 3, not only formally resigned but also made his resignation letter public.
Priyanka Gandhi posted the message for her brother by quote tweeting the four-page open letter by Rahul Gandhi.
In his Twitter account, Rahul Gandhi's designation as "President" of Congress was also changed to "Member of Congress and Member of Parliament".
