Puri Jagannadh’s brother to contest from YSRCP
P Uma Shankar Ganesh, the brother of the ace director Puri Jagannadh is allotted with an MLA ticket to contest from Narsipatnam. YSRCP has offered him the ticket for the upcoming Lok Sabha election. Does this mean that the filmmaker will be seen campaigning for his brother?
Lately, Puri's Mother also contested as YCP Sarpanch while her younger son and well-known actor Sairam Shankar went on campaigning for his mother. However, Puri was not seen involved in it. But abuzz in both film and political fraternity is that Puri might be helping his brother in campaigning while few others opined that Puri is already occupied with a hand full of projects and has no interest to interfere in politics.
On the hand, celebrity support for YSRCP is growing as the time for elections is fast approaching. Actors like Jayasudha, Ali, Prudhvi, Posani, Krishna, Vijay Chander, Bhanu Chander, and Chota K Naidu have already conveyed their support to the party and its leadership. It is a good omen that the party is equally balancing the goodwill and celebrity charisma.
