Rajinikanth clarifies that he never thought himself as the Chief Minister

Superstar Rajinikanth turned all heads towards him by calling for a press meet this morning. Everyone thought that the actor will finally launch his party and announce his political action plan. Rajini, however, confirmed that he will not be a Chief Minister candidate from his party. He said that he will head that party and select a young individual as the Chief Minister candidate. Rajini will lead the party as the president.

Speaking at the press meet held in Leela Palace hotel of Chennai this morning, Rajinikanth said, "Everyone is asking about by political entry since 1996. I only confirmed it in 2017. I can never think of myself as a CM candidate. The CM and the party chief will be two different persons. The party president will act like an opposition and be critical on the acts of the government. We will have a young CM candidate who is ambitious, passionate, has social thinking and self-respect.

Rajini first came in front of media and announced his political action plan in December 2017. Later, Rajini formed an association called Rajini Makkal Mandram (RMM). He is currently discussing the political action plan with the members of RMM.

However, Rajini didn't announce his party name, members of the CM candidate of his party. He also didn't speak on the contention in 2021 Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly Elections. Thus, we have to wait until the next press meet to know about all these unanswered questions.
