Bangladesh Civil Aviation Authority (CAAB) soon dived into the complete investigation to know the reasons behind the hijack attempt made by an armed man in the Boeing flight BG147. Tough the hijack is promptly crashed, shocking reasons of why the man attempted the hijack alarmed the authorities.
The alleged passenger who broke into hijack with a handgun and explosives is said to have some personal issues with his wife and has an unbalanced mental condition. Reportedly, during the hijack, he constantly asked that he wanted to speak to Bangladesh's Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on the same.

As stated by Major General Matiur Rahman the hijacker is identified as Mahadi aged 25, who refused to surrender even after constant assertion from the army commandos after which they have taken him down.
The plane flying to Dubai from Dhaka made an emergency landing at Chittagong's Shah Amanat International Airport after the hijacker broke into the cockpit and demanded the crew to change the plane’s course. The man also had explosives attached to all over his body and would have done massive destruction if the hijack plan was a success.
CAAB chairman Air Vice Marshal Naim Hassan informed that the hijacker spoke Bangla language but needs a significant investigation to confirm his propers.
