The announcement of the former minister D K Aruna joining Bharatiya Janata Party has come to the media meltdown as she is one of the few strong leaders that Congress have had. The decision has not only shocked Congress but also the whole political fraternity.
Reportedly, DK Aruna met BJP national president Amit Shah in New Delhi on Tuesday and has joined the party in the presence of Union health minister J P Nadda, BJP general secretary Ram Madhav and others. Ram Madhav facilitated her and welcomed her into BJP. She is said to turn down the ticket offered by the Congress party from Mahbubnagar Lok Sabha constituency. However, accepted the same offer from the BJP to fight the LS polls from Mahbubnagar.
As a part of TRS’ 'Operation Akarsh’ Congress party is the first party to fall victim with almost nine leaders hopping from it. Abuzz is that Aruna is facing severe pressures from the TRS government which is deliberately targeting her family businesses. Political analysts, however, has come to a conclusion that Aruna has come to the decision to BJP as she received a strong assurance from Amit Shah to help her to get out of the crisis.
