Rebel AIADMK MLA E. Rathinasabapathy calls on CM, Speaker
AIADMK legislator E. Rathinasabapathy, who supported T.T.V. Dhinakaran, called on CM Edappadi K. Palaniswami at the Secretariat. Mr. Rathinasabapathy said he detached himself from Mr. Dhinakaran soon after the latter registered his party, the Amma Makkal Munnetra Kazhagam (AMMK).
The Aranthangi MLA stated that he was for unity between his party members. He believed the other two MLAs who took the same stand would also come back to the ruling party.
He said people had rejected Mr. Dhinakaran, due to the results of the recent poll. Mr. Rathinasabapathy also called on Assembly Speaker P. Dhanapal.
Remembered that Mr. Rathinasabapaty with the two other AIADMK MLAs was passed a show- cause notice over “anti-party activities.”
The MLAs approached the Supreme Court, which granted an interim injunction against the notices passed by the Speaker.
