As the rebel Congress leader MLA Anand Singh submitted his resignation to the Governor of Karnataka, Vajubhai Vala, here on Monday, July 1, yet another leader MLA Ramesh Jarkiholi has tendered his resignation.
According to reports, Ramesh has personally written a letter about him resigning and has forwarded the same to the State Assembly Speaker Ramesh Kumar.
However, the resignation is yet to be accepted by Ramesh Kumar.
Ramesh, who was unhappy with the state coalition leaders and, especially, the way he was treated within Congress, turned rebel. He had earlier expressed his dissatisfaction over State Water Resources Minister D K Shivakumar interfering in the cold war between MLA Lakshmi Hebbalkar and ‘Jarkiholi brothers’ (Ramesh and Satish Jarkiholi) pertaining to the Belagavi Co-operative Bank election row.
