Minister Somireddy Chandramohan Reddy resigned from his MLC post today. He is expected to submit his resignation letter to the assembly speaker soon. Mr.Reddy is going to contest from Sarvepalli constituency in Nellore district.
Earlier, MLC Ramasubba Reddy from Kadapa district resigned to his position to contest from Jammalamadugu assembly constituency. Both these TDP senior leaders wished to contest in the general elections.
Now Naidu is planning to fill these two MLC vacant seats to others. But Naidu’s son and IT minister Nara Lokesh who entered the state cabinet indirectly by getting nominated as MLC under party quota. And there is chance for Lokesh to contest assembly elections, most likely from Kuppam in place of his Father who is likely to move to another constituency in Krishna district.
Will Naidu make his son resign like the other two MLC’s or he will play a safe game without taking risks before elections? We have to wait and see.
