Siddaramaiah and opposition argues on CM BSY cancelling Tipu Jayanti
Karnataka CM BS Yediyurappa evaded questions about behind his cancelling Tipu Jayanti celebrations has left the Congress fuming. CM has walked away when Siddaramaiah continuously raising the issue.
While new Speaker of Karnataka Vishveshwar Hegde also appointed as the same day, the Congress was ready to use the opportunity to raise the Tipu Jayanti issue. Siddaramaiah asking to BSY “Yediyurappa aver, Kuthkoli Bari aidhu nimsha… yen gala.” (Yediyurappa please sit for five minutes, nothing will happen).
BSY after his meeting, he will visit Chikkamagaluru to attend the funeral of Siddhartha. The new Speaker Kegeri said CM had already informed to his was leaving the house early.
Siddaramaiah has pointed out that “There is no written rule that prior notice should be submitted to the Speaker for issues to raise in the house. Besides, I have no objection to the CM leaving. But where is the government? There is no council of ministers and all the BJP leaders are only legislators, there is no minister to attend to the opposition’s complaint on why Tipu Jayanti has been cancelled. You should have instructed the CM to stay back and listen to us,” he asked.
He also said Ramesh Kumar re-joins Congress, he said he’ll leave it to the people to judge his decision to disqualify 17 former Congress and JDS MLA's.
