Amid growing fears of the BJP's 'Operation Kamala', former CM and Congress strongman Siddaramaiah met former CM S M Krishna, who had recently shifted over to the BJP. The meeting was held in Kolar. "Both of them are attending an event in the evening. But both the leaders, who arrived early in the city, met in a hotel. It was a cordial meet," said a Congress leader from Kolar. According to sources, Siddaramaiah, who unsure of the continuation of the coalition government, is planning to strengthen the party base and attracting the Vokkaliga votes by re-inducting S M Krishna. "As Vokkaligas extended solid support to the JDS in the 2018 assembly election, the JDS was able to secure a respectable number of seats.
Siddaramaiah is planning something unimaginable. He wanted to bring the Vokkaliga votes back to the party via S M Krishna," the sources explained. But Siddaramaiah and S M Krishna told the media that it was a courtesy call and no politics was involved in the meeting.
