SriLankan Test captain was arrested for drunk driving after injuring the man!
Sri Lanka’s Test captain Dimuth Karunaratne has landed himself in severe trouble due to serious misconduct. While he is expected to be a role model and inspiration to the people, he himself has violated the rules and is behind the bars.
Apparently, the left-hander was arrested by the police over a case of drunk driving which resulted in an accident. This Srilankan veteran has got a place himself in the ICC test team of last year was arrested for drunk driving in Colombo on Sunday morning after being involved in an accident.
The 30-year-old was in an inebriated state when he crashed into a three-wheeler, leaving the driver of the vehicle injured. He was taken into custody at around 5:40 am Sri Lanka time. On the same road, his car collided with a three-wheeler and the driver had suffered minor injuries.
However, the police released another statement later where they informed that the accident was a minor one. They further stated that no one was injured during the accident. Dimuth Karunaratne could be fined in the court for drunk driving.
