Srinivas Prasad nail biting victory on sitting MP Dhruvanarayana

The BJP has won in border district - Chamarajanagar (SC-reserve) with the victory of Srinivas Prasad.
 
Srinivasa Prasad got a record in Chamarajanagar by winning the Lok Sabha polls. This is his sixth victory in the election to parliament. The 72-year age, five-time MP elected to Lok Sabha election after two decades only to help the BJP enter into the Congress fort.
 
Prasad won on Congress candidate R Dhruvanarayana by 1817 votes. The competition has seen a nail-biting finish up to its final round. Officers were cautious and careful before announcing him victor around 8 PM. Two- MP Dhruvarayana, who kept the lead up to 17th round cut down by Prasad later.
 
Prasad gained 568537 votes majority against 566720 by Dhruvanarayana.
 
After his win in the Nanjangud by-election, Srinivas Prasad had declared that he will not be competing for any election in the future but will be involved in politics, however as the regardless of powerful candidates to competition from held Chamarajanagar constituency he was obtained to the competition.
