State government fixes seven-month time limit to clear Rajakaluve encroachment
Chief Secretary TM Vijayabhaskar has given seven months’ time limit to the BBMP to clear all the encroachment on Rajakaluve (stormwater drains) over the city. The instructions were passed after a delegation led by freedom fighter HS Doreswamy approached the Chief Secretary claiming that the BBMP is quiet on the stormwater drain encroachment problem.
As per the sources, the BBMP authorities cite the crisis of surveyors for the defers in the encroachment. For this, the Chief Secretary questioned the BBBMP authorities to take the help of the office of land records. According to the BBMP sources, the state government has decided the aim of the removal of 250 encroachments per month.
It can be remembered that the encroachment of the stormwater drain is often criticized for artificial foods in the city while it rains.
