State government to withdraw BBMP division bill form President of India
On the State Cabinet meeting, it was decided to withdraw the BBMP division bill, it is a delay for the approval from the President of India. The bill was issued by the two Houses of the State Legislature when Siddaramaiah was the CM.
The bill was approved by the recommendation of the BBMP division committee led by the BS Patil, Ex-Chief Secretary of the Government of Karnataka and senior Congress leader. By the force of opposing Vokkaliga leaders, the State Cabinet has decided to withdraw the bill.
Meanwhile, Ex- DCM R Ashok alleged that the Cabinet’s decision in a success for the BJP agitation. “We have been opposing this decision and the bill since day one. At least now the state government understood our concern,” he said.
