Supreme Court to hear rebel Karnataka MLAs request
The 10 rebel Congress and JD(S) MLAs appealed to the Supreme Court that Assembly Speaker K. Ramesh Kumar’s is delaying accepting their resignation to prolong the ruling in the state.
Hearing before the issue before Chief Justice of Indian Ranjan Gogoi by senior advocate Mukul Rohatgi. Mr. Rohatgi submitted that the Speaker was not careful performing on their resignations. He requested a hearing today itself, if not delay. “Time is of the essence,” Mr. Rohatgi pealed the court. The CJI dismissed the idea of hearing the petitions later in the day. The CJI said, “we will see (about listing the case for tomorrow).”
