Surgical Strike 2.0 an advantage for BJP in 2019 Elections?
In the verge of Lok Sabha election falling by, the political fraternity on national front is all charged up with campaigns, promises and allegations. Amidst which the terror attack in Pulwama on February 14 has shaken the grounds. The attack claimed by the terrorist group Jaish-e-Mohammed's (JeM's) took the lives of 40 CRPF jawans.
India, however, countered this with a non-military action which successfully destroyed Jaish-e-Mohammed's (JeM's) main terror camps in Balakot. While Pakistan tripped into defence zone denying the strikes, people across the world started lauding Modi government for its fitting reply on Pakistan's terror outfits. The Indian government has also ensured that Pakistan is exposed to the global community as a terror-promoting country.
In a public rally at Rajasthan, Modi has made it clear that India will not sit quietly if provoked and attacked which struck the cord with the young India who is gushing with anger on the opponent country. Narendra Modi's speech re-asserted that India is in safe hands and for him, country comes first and is above everything.
Even the Foreign Secretary Vijay Gokhale has taken care that his statements are carefully crafted meeting all the rules of International Conventions. This has sent a message to both Pakistan and its supporting countries that India will not tolerate the double games at any cost. This has no doubt isolated Pakistan on a global front which has made the country to yield.
BJP is receiving certain unfavourable comments from few critics that the Surgical Strike 2.0 is completely an election stunt but on the other hand, has no doubt stolen the hearts of Indian citizens. Everything said and done, the Balakot attack has improved Modi's graph and goodwill tremendously over the past few days.
