Tamil Nadu MLAs leaves House early to watch India match
India playing against Bangladesh in the World Cup, many of the legislators from both the ruling party as well as opposition parties went home even before the assembly was postponed for the day.
Members have been seen talking about the match even while the assembly meeting was in progress. “It is an important match, and will the House be adjourned before 3 pm,” an MLA asked another.
As well as a Senior MLA mentioned that the match to speaker P Dhanapal, also when a member of his party was talking on the argues for the grants for school and house was adjourned many MLAs had priory vacant the House. “We all wanted to leave and watch the match, but our seniors left the House early and we had to stay back. We are rushing to see the match” said the MLA. While a victory in the match can confirm India’s spot in the semi-finals of the tournament.
