Tamil Nadu rejects Kerala’s drinking water offer

Kerala’s offer of a trainload of water to Tamil Nadu to tide over the shortage of water. Although Kerala said Tamil Nadu rejected the offer of 20 lakh liters of water, but Tamil Nadu denies this and express it’s waiting for the CM Edappadi K Palaniswami to come back from the hospital to decide.
According to that opposition leader and DMK Chief M K Stalin thanked the Kerala government for this opportunity and asked the Tamil Nadu government to work with the neighboring state.
Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan’s said that the state was ready to provide the 20 lakh liters by train from Thiruvananthapuram to Chennai. “Since the major water bodies of Chennai has been facing acute water storage, the Kerala government decided to extend a helping hand”, the CM said.
Tamil Nadu water supply minister S P Veumani tweeted that the Kerala CM’s secretary called up his TN counterpart and made a “one-time offer” of water supply in 20 rail wagons.
