‘TDP has tuned Polavaram into their ATM': Modi in Rajahmundry public meeting
In a public meeting at Rajahmundry, Narendra Modi took the opportunity to bombard Chandrababu Naidu with a series of allegations. The ruling party and AP CM Chandrababu Naidu has been the main target all along the meeting.
Modi alleged Babu that Polavaram has turned into an ATM for TDP and its ministers. “Instead of completing Polavaram project, the lifeline of AP, the ruling party is more concerned about drawing money from central government. Babu and Co are deliberately delaying the project to escalate the costs of the project and to earn from it,” said Modi.
The Prime Minister called Chandrababu as U-Turn Babu quoting the stand he took in Special Category Status as an example. He also said that Babu is more concerned about stickering houses taking the central government’s schemes into his account. “We take the pride of not increasing the taxes which resulted in the country’s progress. The expansion of the airport in Rajahmundry, Vizag is possible due to sincere taxpayers,” he added.
Modi said BJP is committed for the development of Andhra Pradesh and alleged that Naidu has no time to think about farmers. “The state government has completely ignored the fishing community and we promise to do justice to the fishing sector issuing cards to the fishing community like Kisan Cards to farmers,” stated Modi.
Modi remembered the contributions made by Adikavi Nannayya and Kandukuri Veeresalingam who were born on Rayalaseema soil. On this note, Modi has sought the blessings of people of AP to give another chance to continue their dedication.
