Veteran actor and the chief of Sree Vidyanikethan colleges, Mohan Babu has called for a peaceful rally against TDP government, protesting the delay of students fee reimbursement. He alleged that Andhra Pradesh state government owes Rs 19 crore to his educational institutes. Tirupati police have taken Mohan Babu into custody under violation of police 30 act and 144 CRPC.
However, TDP didn’t opt to remain mum on this issue. Kutumba Rao, the official spokesperson for the party has held a press conference to clear the air. He rubbished the allegations made by the actor and stated that the government has to pay Rs 6.48 crore but not Rs 19 crore.
“I don't understand why Mohan Babu is claiming false amount. It is at the beginning of the financial year that he started demanding for fee reimbursement whereas such formalities will be completed by September. How can the fee be reimbursed the early when any government pays in the second half of the year? I doubt if he runs an educational institute or a business,” said Kutumba Rao.
Kutumba Rao also went on criticized Mohan Babu that Sree Vidyanikethan colleges are faking people with 25 percent free education to the poor and backward classes where the government is already paying him.
