Telangana COVID-19: 2,000 People Who Tested Positive For COVID-19 Go 'Missing'

According to the Times of India, authorities in Telangana have said that around 2,200 coronavirus patients in Hyderabad have gone 'missing' over the past two weeks. They provided wrong phone numbers and addresses.
 
Not only have these people run away, but reportedly also switched off their phones so they cannot be contacted.
 
GHMC has already dispatched 15,000 kits, 5,000 kits are kept on standby. Dozens of people whose names are included in the distribution list of home isolation kits cannot be traced as many have accidentally filled in wrong
 
Many people gave a copy of their Aadhaar card as ID and address proof. There have been several cases in which permanent address of the citizens was mentioned in the Aadhaar card instead of current address — GHMC official
 
“We were still able to reach some of them using the Aadhaar card address and most of them confessed that they don't want to accept the isolation kit at their home. They requested us to hand over the kit to one of their kin or friends at a place which is not near their house,” a GHMC official as saying.
