Telangana High Court prompts defected MLAs

The MLAs who have defected from Congress to TRS will now face action as per the law in accordance with the Telangana High Court. The court has declined to take up the petition filed on Congress Legislature Party (CLP) merger row as an emergency case. The case has been postponed to June 11, as Advocate on behalf of Congress party Jandyala Ravi Shankar failed to convince the court with his argument.

Responding to the advocate’s stated that if the court takes time, then TRS will definitely go ahead with the procedure to merge CLP with TRSLP, the court said, if this happens, the court is there to object it and appropriate action will be taken immediately against the MLAs. The Congress has also appealed to disqualify the MLAs for winning on the party's symbol and joining another party.

"No legislature will run away from assembly and if the merge happens against constitution and law, necessary steps will follow," said the court. On this note, the Congress cadre is strut as if the HC decisions is in favour and against Congress.
