Telangana Women mysterious death in the US: Family claims it to be dowry death
After eight months of marriage, Sandhya, a woman from Telangana was found dead in a mysterious way at Memphis in Tennessee state in her apartment. The local police dived into action after receiving a call from her father-in-law D Rajeshwara Rao on Saturday morning. Upon preliminary investigation, police have confirmed that she had a deep cut on her throat which is found to be the reason for her death. On this note, parents of Sandhya alleged that husband and in-laws have killed Sandhya where the Srikanth’s family claimed that she committed suicide.
D Srikanth happens to be Sandhya's cousin who is the resident of Chintalapalli of Thorrur Mandal in Mahbubabad. It was Srikanth who proposed Sandhya to marry but her family didn’t accept due to the family disputes. Srikanth had left to the US and returned later and again proposed to marry Sandhya. He had convinced Sandhya's parents and they got them married. After marriage, Sandhya moved to Memphis city in the US with husband Srikanth and mother-in-law Vijaya.
After six months of marriage, Sandhya's family has accused that their daughter’s husband and mother-in-law were harassing for dowry and were threatening to kill her. While this is going on, parents were shocked by the death news of their daughter. The family has filed a case against Srikanth, Rajeshwara Rao, Vijaya, elder sister Jyotsna and her husband Anji Babu at Thorrur police station. Srikanth and his mother Vijaya were alleged that they had demanded 1 Crore as additional dowry and killed her for dowry.
