Like in Real life, in death too, the story of NRI Jayaram Chigurupati is taking several twists. Three weeks after his suspicious death, the mystery surrounding the 55-year-old, a non-resident Indian businessman has only deepened.
On Wednesday, Hyderabad police questioned three police personnel, including an ACP in Jayaram’s murder case. As part of the investigation, police questioned ACP Malla Reddy, Inspector Srinivasulu and M Ram Babu at Banjara Hills police station. The trio reportedly told the investigating officer they were unaware about the murder committed by prime accused Rakesh Reddy.
According to Police, the three cops agreed that they spoke to Rakesh on Jan 31st after he called them, but didn’t know that he had committed murder. Former Nallakunta Inspector Srinivasulu said Rakesh called him several times on Jan 31st when he was handling a law and order situation at a private firm near Nallakunta. Another Inspector Ram Babu also admitted that Rakesh called him on Jan 31st evening asking for help as he had assaulted a friend in Jubilee hills.”
Earlier, two persons were arrested by the Jubilee Hills police on Monday in connection with a murder. The duo allegedly threatened and forced Jayaram to sign a few documents, the police found during an investigation.
