Traffic Police impose 2 lakh fine on a truck driver at a record level

Since, the revision of the motor vehicle act, it has been the talk of the country. Many states such as Madhya Pradesh and Kerala decided not to implement the new Motor Vehicle Act brought by Centre. Most interestingly, Modi’s own state Gujarat reduced these fines up to 90 %. Now, this incident increases the ire in public big time.

 
At the GT Karnal Road, A Challan of Rs 1.31 lakh was issued to a Truck Driver for overloading and other traffic violations. Owner of the Truck was fined Rs 69,500 citing various violations. Overall, The fine imposed went up to Rs 2,00,500.
 
Recently, in Rajasthan, another truck was fined 1.1 lakh rupees for multiple violations. These kinds of fines wonder people and lorry drivers whether one would dare to bring their vehicle on the road. Meanwhile, every state has been mulling to take necessary decisions to avoid the vexation of the public.
