TRS victory doesn’t hold to the state assembly elections itself and it also hit the bull eye in the panchayat polls as well. TRS almost managed to sweep the panchayat polls showing their one-sided victory in Telangana.
Panchayat elections have been held for 4,470 panchayats in the first phase. Among them, 769 Panchayats were elected unanimously. Out of them, nearly 610 panchayats picked by TRS itself. And on Friday from 7 a.m to 1 p.m elections happened for 3,710 panchayats and counting of votes was on the same day itself at 2 p.m.
Overall TRS government won 2,545 panchayats, while Congress is in the second bagging of 876 panchayats and other accounts for 729, BJP managed to win 65 panchayats and TDP settled for 28 panchayats respectively. These results of Panchayats polls clearly show us the TRS victory continues in Telangana. This sets opposition parties in a tough time in the Lok Sabha polls.
