TTV Dhinakaran asks party cadres to break all ties with AIADMK
AMMK general secretary T T V Dhinakaran asked his party workers and cadre to break all the ties with AIADMK. 'Those in the AMMK should treat the AIADMK on a par with the DMK and treat the two parties as enemies.'
Dhinakaran asked, “Those in control of the AIADMK are our betrayers, who do not even allow us to conduct party meetings. They create so many hurdles in running our party and are trying to wean our functionaries with false promises every day to show our party has weakened. How can we participate in their family functions.”
“Despite the AIADMK’s false promises of offering contracts and other money-making opportunities, only some top-level functionaries have left us and joined them. But, the cadre and office bearers are with us and we will show our might at the right time,” he said.
AMMK leader said, “We do not fear elections. Once the party’s resignation process with the Election Commission is complete and we get a permanent symbol, we will fight every election in the state. In spite of all the machinations and support from the BJP at the Centre, elections to the assembly cannot be postponed beyond one-and-a-half years. We will show them our might then.”
