Two ex-TTD chairmen to contest from Tirupati constituency
Assembly elections this time are firsts for many things. And Tirupati constituency has witnessed one of such as both the contestants from YSRCP and Jana Sena had served as chairman to Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD).
Chadalavada Krishnamurthy who served as chairman of the TTD Board in 2015 is contesting from Jana Sena. Krishnamurthy belongs to the Balija community which is said to play a major role in Chittoor. He has recently quit the TDP recently on facing the allegations regarding corruption against Suguna. Krishnamurthy later joined Jana Sena party from which he will fight the battle.
While B Karunakara Reddy another ex-TTD chairman is been fielded by YSRCP. This is the first time ever that two TTD influencers are testing their fortune in politics in the temple town. On the other hand, sitting MLA M Suguna is fighting from TDP.
