Two independent candidates to join the HDK cabinet today

The Karnataka CM H D Kumaraswamy will admit to two independent MLAs- R Shankar and H Nagesh into his cabinet today. Cabinet has three vacancies JD(S) could fill the third vacancy in the last minute.
The alliance partners-congress and JD(S) - forced to admit independents into the ministry neglecting the claims of 12 MLAs to secure the moving Kumaraswamy cabinet.
Shankar will be from Congress, Nagesh fills a JD(S) vacant seat caused by the death of CS Shivalli.
A seat from its portion to bring in independents, and it would admit one Congress MLA to join the government. The JD(S) later did a rollover and argued the coalition partners should share the burden equally. The Congress needed the seat for Former minister Ramalinga Reddy or Hirekerur MLA BC Patil.
The Congress leader KB Koliwad asserted that the midterm polls will be conducted in Karnataka before March 2020 while most leaders did not need to go on attach with the JD(S). He also said that “Former CM Siddaramaiah, too, has spoken in favour of midterm polls in a meeting with the high command. I’m confident the elections will be held in the first quarter of the next year.”
