Upasana’s mother Shobana Kamineni let down by Election Commission
The first phase of Lok Sabha Elections 2018 began today as people voted to select deserving candidates for 91 seats across the country. Andhra Pradesh and Telangana too voted today and the discrepancies were too evident.
Shobana Kamineni, mother of Upasana Kamineni was shocked to find that her vote was deleted when she had gone to vote to the election booth. She termed this as a ‘shocking day in her life.’
She said, “I've exercised my vote at the same booth in Nampally during assembly polls, but now my vote got deleted. I ran from pillar to post for 4 hours to make my vote happen, but they put it back on me, saying that I would have already got a notification about that. This is the worst day of my life and its a crime against me as a citizen.”
Shobana Kamineni is the daughter of Apollo Hospitals chairman Prathap Reddy, the vice-chairperson of the group and also the ex-president of CII, The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII).
