Yesterday, we had reported that eight students has been detained for possessing an expired visa. Now, the latest update is that Indian government along with Ministry of External Affairs are trying hard to bring the detained students back to India.
The government had obtained the list of Indian students, their details and their place of detention from the State Department and the Department of Homeland, who floated a fake University to catch hold of immigrants.
Raveesh Kumar, spokesperson of Ministry of External Affairs said, “We've placed a formal request for consular access, emphasizing that the request may be taken as a very high priority.”
Meanwhile, US government headed by Donald Trump had asked immigrants with experiences visas or any unlawful documents to leave the US and warned the people saying that they might face deportation if caught.
Families of the students who has been detained are constantly in touch with the Indian Embassy to know the situation of their children.
