In Rajya Sabha recently five persons were taken oath as members of the Upper House. The party source said PMK leader and Ex-Minister Anbumani Ramadoss was not taking an oath, due to he has involved the 80th birthday celebration of his father and PMK founder S.Ramadoss.
 
AIADMK person A. Muhammathjohn and N. Chandrasekaran, and also DMK leaders M. Shanmugan and P. Wilson and Marunalarchi DMK chief Vaiko were took sworn. After 23 years, in the House Vaiko was talk over the issue of cotton prices and its affecting spinning mills. He alleged Chinese products transported into India by Bangladesh.
 
Vaiko raised that the State government to act on Andhra Pradesh government’s, due to the AP government increased the 22 check dams height over the Palar, that water supply to five northern districts in Tamil Nadu. Meanwhile, AIADMK leader V. Maitreyan said “I wanted to contest the Lok Sabha elections from Chennai South Parliamentary constituency. I was not given a chance,” he said. “I was nominated by Amma as Rajya Sabha MP thrice. So I was expecting one of the seats to the Rajya Sabha. But I did not get that too. It is that I am disappointed.” If he was losing in the party after the death of Jayalalithaa, he said: “Time will answer.”
