Vellore Lok Sabha election: Tamil Nadu registers 63% polling in elections
 
The Election Commission said, in Vellore Lok Sabha elections, Tamil Nadu has registered the 63% of polling. While voting has started at 7 am and up to 6 pm. The elections were held without any issues. The result will be announced on August 9th.
 
While 28 candidate is in the fray, due to a contest between AC Shanmugam of the AIADMK and DM Kathir Anand of the DMK. But the Constituency was going to polls on April 18, while the polling was postponed due to the anti- lawful activities in Vellore district.
 
The Vellore seat comprises six assembly segments- Vellore, Anaikattu, Kilvaithinankupam, Gudiyattam, Vaniyambadi, and Ambur. There are over 1,400 polling booths. In Tamil Nadu, the total 38 Lok Sabha seats DMK won the 37 seats in the recent election was conducted on April 18.
 
While CM Palaniswami and deputy CM O. Panneerslevam campaign for AIADMK. DMK president MK Stalin has campaigned for DMK candidate Anand.
