Visually-impaired tech-entrepreneur to join YSRCP: Dreams to be the President of India
Gone are the days when physical disability is a constraint to achieve heights. The same is proved by Srikanth Bolla, a visually-impaired tech-entrepreneur from Machilipatnam. He is not only a graduated from Massachusetts Institute of Technology(MIT), but will soon make his political entry to improve the lives of people with disabilities.
Srikanth Bolla born to a Machilipatnam based farmer is expected to join the YSRCP soon. He was the first visually-impaired student to study science at the intermediate level in India and became the first visually-impaired international student to get admission at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). Srikanth has also founded Bollant Industries Pvt Ltd which produces eco-friendly disposable products and packaging solutions made out of the natural leaf and recycled paper.
Srikanth defied all the odds for his admission to MIT. He was first denied admission into IITs because of his disability. This tech-entrepreneur has refused an attractive job offer from General Electric (GE) in the US to return to India to work to improve the lives of people with disabilities. He is also an ardent follower of former President Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam.
He now wishes to enter into politics to fulfill his vision of becoming the first visually-impaired President of India. On choosing YSRCP for his launch, he said, “YSRC is the only party which understands the issues of the state and I completely believe in the abilities of Mr. Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy. His capability, vision, and determination to solve problems of the people and fulfill their aspirations attracted me towards the party.”
YSRCP has confirmed the news and informed that Srikanth Bolla would join the party anytime from now.
