What is the conspiracy behind three IPS officers transfers?
Amidst the assembly elections heat waves hitting Andhra Pradesh, the Election Commission has taken the decision to transfer three IPS officers from the state. The order was issued by the Election Commission to A.B. Venkateswara Rao, the Intelligence head, Rahul Dev Sharma, Kapada SI, and Venkata Ratnam, Srikakulam SP. This took place taking the YSRCP leaders’ accusations on ruling party into consideration.
The EC registered the complaint filed by MP Vijay Sai Reddy and his team who accused that the referred police officers have been acting in favour of AP CM and TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu. Orders were also issued to exclude the officers from the election duties.
However, the ruling party decided to hit back the allegations made stating the complaints on the offices is a clear stunt to bury the truths behind Vivekananda Reddy's death case. They also blamed the EC that it is acting as per BJP’s instructions to favour YSRCP. Above all, the election commission didn’t even bother to mention proper reasons for the transfers which have been the subject of speculation.
On the other hand, political analysts made few objections about these transfers that they might give space to unnecessary panic in the political circles. Wherever might be the reasons behind the hasty transfers of the officers, few media channels have raised questions as of why Venkata Ratnam, the Kadapa SP is transferred amidst the Viveka’s investigation? Why did Jagan request the court to hide the SIT report from the public eye? Why is Vijay Sai Reddy admitted in the hospital all of a sudden?
The issue now lies in the hands of YSRCP and Election commission to take the responsibility and answer the citizens and clear the air.
