‘Why is the EC targeting only me?' - Chandrababu Naidu
Ever since his appointment as the Chief Secretary for Andhra Pradesh until the new government is formed, LV Subrahmaniam has been a hard nut to crack especially with the Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu. The former bureaucrat is said to decline CM’s invitations to attend the meetings and above all, has ordered an inquiry into the allegations of irregularities in the transport of gold belonging to Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) from Chennai to Tirupati.
Subrahmaniam has recently stated that Chandrababu is powerless Chief Minister ever since the Election Code of Conduct has come into effect. This behaviour of the new CS has probably irked the CM who responded on a serious note to the sensational statement made by the Chief Secretary. The CM said that “Let the Election Commission take back the powers of all the Government in the country. Even the caretaker Chief Minister will have few powers though he/she can't take policy decisions'.
Chandrababu Naidu has ordered the party cadre to make all necessary preparations for the upcoming local body elections imparting confidence in the officials. He even discussed the course of action to take EVMs malfunctioning and tampering issue into the notice of intellectuals in the country. On this note, Naidu expressed his plan to protest in the capital city along with the anti-BJP parties. Babu claimed that NGOs have been extending support to the movement launched by him.
