V V Lakshminarayna to join TDP soon
With the news of former joint director of Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) and a retired IPS officer, V V Lakshminarayna joining Telugu Desam Party, discussions are on a high note in the political fraternity. Though it is not announced officially the news that Lakshminarayana is going to meet Chandrababu Naidu to join the party from any time now has set ripples.
Abuzz is that Ganta Srinivasa Rao, Minister for higher education played a crucial role in convincing the former IPS officer to join the TDP. If Lakshminarayna joins the party, the supremo is ready to offer the Bhimili assembly constituency and shift his son Nara Lokesh to Visakhapatnam north.
Though he made a statement that he would launch his own political party, this plan didn’t take the shape and he later joined the Lok Satta Party founded by Jaya Prakash Narayan. Lakshminarayna maintained quite a goodwill with his contributions to the farming community through his voluntary organisation which helped him in maintaining a clean image. Will this image be maintained the same while he enters into TDP which is carrying unfavourable conditions in the State.
Lakshminarayna also played a crucial role in the case against YS Jagan, the chief of the YSR Congress party. Now, will the allegations that he helped Chandrababu Naidu in foisting cases against Jagan and sending him to jail affect his political career.
However, political circles are abuzz with the opinion that Lakshminarayana’s entry will help the TDP in any way or prove counter-productive.
