YS Jagan’s paid artists using caste as weapon for elections

The upcoming elections in Andhra Pradesh has already drawn enough attention. It is quite natural that many political parties recruit people on the basis of caste. The caste-divide is occupying a major space in political speeches too.

YS Jagan’s brand ambassadors are Posani, Chinni Krishna and Kona Venkat. All of them at different occasions have included caste as part of their election campaign speeches.

"I am a Kamma, but I don't support Naidu," said Posani. "For the first time I'm revealing that my surname is Akula and I am a Kapu, but I will support Jagan, not Pawan," said Chinni Krishna.

"I am Brahmin who reads Gayathri Mantram everyday and today I could proudly say that Jagan is a huge sympathiser of Brahmins like his father," said Kona Venkat.
