YSRCP comparatively in a strong position than TDP: Reveals a Political Survey
The unexpected defeat in 2014 elections, has come as a major shock to the YSRCP party cadre after investing intense hardship. In the neck and neck fight between TDP and YSRCP in Seemandhra, 2.06 percent of votes made the difference. According to the post-analysis, the party had lost 46 seats with a narrow margin of fewer than 10,000 votes and the petty issues like faulty poll management and negligence of the candidates were the reasons.
When broken down, the party had lost 9 seats by less than 3,000-vote majority, 13 seats by fewer than 6,000 votes, 15 seats by a margin of fewer than 8,000 votes and seven by less than 10,000 votes. The reports from the then political circles revealed that the win is inevitable for YSRCP due to which the leaders of the party were said to display a laid back attitude in the final days of the campaigning.
And now, the party cadre is anxious that the same would happen, a few of the leaders are not willing to spend money while the party chief is busy in investing both his money and time for campaigning. Taking inspiration from his father, Jagan’s ‘Padayatra’ as a part of which he toured thousands of kilometers has struck the cord with the people. Considering the efforts put in by the chief, the leaders are now making sure that they give their best.
One of the prominent YSRC leaders revealed that the surveys conducted by some organizations confessed that the party was in a strong position compared to the Telugu Desam in the state and will come to power for sure with a majority win in elections.
