Yuvraj’s wife revealed an emotional moment on his retirement day!
Yuvraj Singh, who was named player of the tournament in India's 2011 World Cup triumph, has retired from international cricket. Yuvraj Singh, who retired from international cricket today, said in his retirement video, "I love the sport but I also hate it." "I love it because it has given everything to me. I hate it because it has been very tough on me mentally," he added. "It was a beautiful story...but it has come to an end," he further said.
Meanwhile, Yuvraj Singh's wife Hazel Keech has revealed her husband cried when he received his Team India kit before being recalled to the national team for the three-match T20I series against Australia in early 2016. "I obviously don't understand what that feels like...I just remember him saying, 'Never again did I imagine that I will play for India again'," Hazel added.
Keech said that before marriage, she didn’t have much understanding about the sport. The 32-year-old Keech, who’s also a British-Mauritian model and has appeared in Bollywood movies is married to Yuvraj since November 2016. Yuvraj made his international debut as an 18-year-old in an ODI in 2000. He was a crucial part of India's World Cup triumphs in 2007 and 2011. He was the man of the tournament in both the mega-events where India lifted the World Cups.
