Vishnu Vishal's Chella Ayyavu-directed Tamil-Telugu bilingual film "Gatta Kusthi" released in theatres, last Friday, December 2. The film had a decent opening in Tamil Nadu. It collected Rs 10 crores gross worldwide till now.
Gatta Kusthi was released in 400 Tamil Nadu screens and 250 screens in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. On the third day, it collected 4.5 crores worldwide. 2.6 crores of the total collection is from Tamilnadu. In 3 days of theatre run, Gatta Kusthi has collected over 10 crores worldwide.
In collaboration with Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja, Vishnu Vishal produced the film under Vishnu Vishal Studioz and RT Teamworks labels. After FIR, this is Vishnu Vishal's second consecutive partnership with Ravi Teja. In the film, Aishwarya Lekshmi plays the lead role.
The last time Vishnu Vishal appeared on a major motion picture screen was in "F.I.R." It was a Manu Anand-directed terrorism drama. The movie debuted to enormous box office success and became the biggest hit of the year.
