Hrithik Roshan and Tiger Shroff’s action-thriller War and Chiranjeevi’s epic film Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy will clash at the box-office on October 2nd. Trade analysts are expecting nothing less than a mega opening for Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy and War. We expect both the films to rewrite several box office records, leaving behind the top openers, Thugs of Hindostan (Rs 52.25 crore), Avengers Endgame (Rs 53 crore), Bharat (Rs 42.30 crore) and Sanju (Rs 34.25).
Going by the early trends, Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy will register a Rs 60-70 crore Nett opening at the box office in all the languages in the domestic market. We expect War movie to register 35-40 Crore Nett opening at the box-office including languages in India.
The expectations from Sye Raa is pretty much high down the South, because Chiranjeevi is a Megastar, and he has got a massive following over there. In Hindi also, he is familiar enough, and this will fetch Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy a decent opening in North. Going by the early estimates Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy will open 5-7 Crore Nett opening in Hindi. Sye Raa will register massive openings in Telugu states and Karnataka. We expect the film to open as big as SS Rajamouli’s Baahubali2 in these two states. Coming to Tamil Nadu and Kerala prospects look weak compared to other states. If the film gets Saaho kind of openings in these states, that will be good enough for the start.
Coming to War, it will have a huge wave at the North box office. Makers are planning to have a wide release in the South with a good screen count. This shows the craze among the exhibitors and the audience. War is getting dubbed in regional languages too, which is also a bonus for the distributors. With a huge buzz and crazy combination of Hrithik and Tiger Shroff, War is on track to register one of the biggest openings at the Indian box office. War movie day 1 early estimates 35-40 Crore Nett from India.
On a whole, the pre-release trends suggest that War and Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy will have an excellent start at the box office. Stressing on the fact that it is a holiday release.
