Pathaan Day 2 Collections: Shah Rukh Khan Starrer Adds Rs 70 Crores

Pathaan has been setting records since its release on Wednesday, the Hindi version of the Siddharth Anand directorial went on to collect around 70 crores on its second day. The second day was the Republic Day holiday. The film also became the highest Bollywood opener. The film stars Shah Rukh Khan, Deepika Padukone, and John Abraham in lead roles. Ashutosh Rana and Dimple Kapadia play supporting characters. Salman Khan also makes an appearance in the film.

Pathaan debuted on Wednesday with 57 crores in domestic sales. becoming the highest-grossing Bollywood film in history. On day 2, Thursday, a Republic Day holiday, it surpassed 100 crores. Needless to say, the film had the highest second-day collections for a Bollywood film. According to trade analysts, Pathaan earned at least 70 crores in Hindi. The final figures may be higher. This brings its two-day total to around 127 crores, trailing only the two dubbed films KGF 2 and Baahubali: The Conclusion. “There is no film which has even got close to 70 crore nett with the 50 crore nett mark being breached a couple of times on the first day," said a source. On Thursday night, film trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared the day 2 collections. The collections were from three major national chains, including INOX, Cinepolis, and PVR. He tweeted,
