4 Year Long Controversy Ends; Vadivelu Returns To Acting

Vadivelu, a leading Tamil comedian and character actor, returns to cinema after four years. Vadivelu's return comes after the Tamil Film Producers' Council lifted the ban. In August 2017, the Film Producers' Council banned Vadivelu from filming. Criticism was high at the time that there were political reasons behind this.

The dispute between Vadivelu and Shankar has been resolved, TFC said in a press release. Vadivelu's comeback is through the film Nai Sekhar. Nai Sekhar, directed by Suraj, is the spinoff of Thalai Nagaram.

Tamil Film Producers Council banned Vadivelu during the shooting of 24th Pulikeshi. Chimpudevan directs the film, while director Shankar's S Pictures produces the film. Chimpudevan and Shankar complained that the film, which was scheduled to start shooting in August 2017, had to stop due to Vadivelu 's non - cooperation. The Producers' Council banned Vadivelu in November 2017.

Shankar had alleged that the shooting had taken place for only ten days in August. He had added that they lost a huge amount of money due to Vadivelu's non-cooperation. Imsai Arasan 23rd Pulikesi is a much-talked-about film produced by Shankar and directed by Chimbudevan. Pulikeshi was a film in which turned Vadivelu from a comedian to a hero. Parvathy Omanakuttan was cast in the lead role. The film 24th Pulikesi is a sequel to the film.
