The Telugu film industry has had a wonderful beginning to 2023, with the grand success of films like Veera Simha Reddy and Waltair Veerayya. This successful streak is set to continue well into the Summer of 2023, with a number of movies set to be released.
Summer 2023 is set to begin with the release of Natural Star Nani's Dasara. The film is slated to release towards the end of March, around March 30th. It would then be followed by Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja's Ravanasura on April 7th. On April 14th, three films are expected to be released, including Agent, Ugram, and Rudhrudu. On the 21st of April, Virupaksha, followed by Ponniyin Selvan 2 and PVT04 on April 28th or 29th. Samantha's Shaakunthalam is also set for an April release, with the movie expected to be released on the 7th.
On May 5th, the third installment of Marvel's Guardians of The Galaxy will be released, followed by Bholaa Shankar on May 12th. May also have movies like Custody, Hanuman, and Spy geared up for release.
A lot of the above-mentioned films have a really good buzz surrounding them, especially Dasara, Ravanasura, Shaakunthalam, and Bholaa Shankar. While Agent is expected to be good as well, there hasn't been any update from the film after the teaser release a while ago. As a result, the film has failed to generate any buzz in the time since. The summer season is expected to be followed by at least a couple of major film releases, like Prabhas's Adipurush and SSMB28.
