J Jamuna, a seasoned performer, and a former parliamentarian passed away on Friday, January 27, at her place in Hyderabad. She was afflicted with an old-age-related ailment. She was 86 years old. Numerous celebrities, including Chiranjeevi, Mahesh Babu, Jr. NTR, and Nandamuri Balakrishna, among others, posted condolences on social media in the wake of the iconic actor's passing.

 
The Telugu translation of megastar Chiranjeevi's condolence message is, "The news of senior heroine Jamuna passing away is very sad. She is a multi-lingual actress. Though her mother tongue is Kannada, she left an incredible mark in the hearts of Telugu people with many successful films."
 
Jr NTR, on the other hand, recognized her as the Telugu cinema industry's queen. His post said in Telugu, She played several classic roles. Mahesh Babu said he would remember her for both that and her enormous contribution to the film industry.
 
Jamuna made her acting debut in 1953, at the age of 16, in Dr. Garikapati Rajarao's Puttillu. Jamuna was born in Hampi on August 30, 1936. She mesmerized the Hindi-speaking public by becoming the most gorgeous actress of her time. Milan, starring Sunil Dutt, is only one example of her work in Hindi movies.
 
Jamuna joined the Congress party in the 1980s and won the Rajahmundry seat in the Lok Sabha election of 1989. She stepped out of politics in 1991 after losing the election. She briefly ran a campaign for the BJP in the late 1990s, during the administration of Atal Bihari Vajpayee.
 
Regarding her private life, Jamuna was wed to Juluri Ramana Rao, an SV University professor of biology. At the age of 86, he died on November 10th, 2014 from a heart attack. Vamsee Juluri, a son, and Sravanthi, a daughter, are their children.
