Aishwarya Rai Bachchan Spills The Beans About Ponniyin Selvan

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan made heads turn in a stunning black floral gown at the Cannes Film Festival 2022. The actress will be seen next in director Mani Ratnam's Ponniyin Selevan. This is Mani Ratnam's ambitious project which he wanted to make for the past 10 years. However, it couldn't be materialized due to budget constraints. The film will be made in two parts. The first part, Ponniyin Selvan, will hit the theatres on September 30 in multiple languages. In several interviews, Aishwarya Rai had said that Mani Ratnam is his guru. Ponniyin Selvan has an ensemble cast featuring Aishwarya, Chiyaan Viram, Karthi, Jayam Ravi, Trisha, Prakash Raj, and Prabhu in the lead roles.

Talking to Film Companion, Aishwarya said, "When he came and he shared and he said, ‘You know this is something I wanted to make right at the beginning”. I’m like I’m so privileged and so blessed that he asked me to be a part of his dream. I think just to begin at that in itself is so fulfilling. And then of course the experience has been superlative as always and you work with a talent like him and the talent that he naturally brings together every time.”
