If the coronavirus was not there, we used to be IPL Mania right now. The 13th edition of Indian Premier League was actually supposed to start on the 29th of March. But it not got postponed indefinitely. This has left many cricket fans with utter disappointment. One of them is a popular Telugu hero Allu Sirish. The Gowravam actor seems to be missing IPL a lot. Yesterday, he posted a video clip of him playing cricket. He also asked suggestions from his fans on working out on his weak link of playing a leg-stump yorker. The suggestions kept flowing to his tweet.
"Leg stump yorkers. Missing the IPL. Here's a throwback video where I was attempting to play the leg-stump yorker. It was always my weak link. Any tips guys?," tweeted Sirish.
Popular Tamil actor Vhishnu Vishal, "Bro you are trying to drive yorker deliveries. Try to defend them first. Also, watch the ball till the point of contact with the bat, and make sure ur front foot is facing the ball and not point or covers. Finally, make sure back foot doesn't move and is grounded. Try and let me know."
A Twitter user commented, "Anna, stand in the leg stump, when bowler bowling the ball trying to step out and play straight shot or try to go backwards like Steve Smith come forward when he plays, then trying to play straight shot as you can, hopefully, you may understand, btw your fan from Odisha."
Another user gave a suggestion by tweeting, "Extend the front foot more to the pitch of the ball and start to play with a straight bat. Do not allow to turn the ball after the pitch is the key."
Sirish thanked everyone who gave him valuable suggestions. "Thank you for all the suggestions guys. Scoop and helicopter shots are tough shots, better left to professionals. I'll focus on my footwork & stance like you guys tweeps said. Cheers!," wrote Sirish.
